Inspiration: My "Sweat" Detox

I love this ad! Well as a wannabe yogi I always admire those who have taken their yoga practice to the next level. Recently I started a 15 day detox which includes 15 days straight of Bikram or “Hot” yoga. It is challenging to say the least. The first few nights I was breezing through however, last night my body was not agreeing with the moves and I had to stop a few times. None-the-less, I am excited about this journey. Every time I leave a class I feel invigorated and amazing. There really are no words to describe what it feels like post workout (well I can think of a few but its a little XXX).

I know I will get a several questions regarding the detox, of which I plan on posting a video next week explaining what I am doing. Before I do that I want to share some of the goals I have for detoxing. I hope by sharing my goals it will help someone else define their own reasons for cleansing their body.

  • Recommitting to my spiritual goals

  • Eliminating toxins that I have let creep back into my system in the form of dairy and over processed foods

  • Increasing my vitality and energy

  • Jump start to eating cleaner

  • Becoming a focused Yogi
