Rox(i)nspiration: Joy

I am not on a quest for happiness I am on a quest for Joy

because happiness fails when your happenings stop

but the Joy of the Lord last forever

-Me

Mediating on happiness the other day I had an epiphany. While the pursuit of happiness is noble, happiness is often based on our circumstances. We are happy when we are around people we love, we are happy when we travel, we are happy when life is going great. The problem is that happiness is circumstantial. What happens when our circumstances are less than ideal? When we lose a job, end a relationship or get hurt. This is where joy comes. I believe joy lives in your heart and it is a gift from God. The more your seek God the more joy you receive. Joy allows you to smile despite your circumstances; to keep existing even through it hurts. Pursue of joy. Stay inspired.
